A snapshot of our story

Trevor-Roberts was started by Dr Brian Trevor-Roberts, a pioneer of the outplacement industry, in 1994. Our business initially focused on providing counselling and outplacement services. This was at a time when redundancies weren’t talked about and people going through the process felt a sense of shame and loss of confidence.

When our current CEO, Dr Edwin Trevor-Roberts, began working in the business in the late 1990s, outplacement was still the primary focus.

Edwin was drawn to offer a more diverse range of services after seeing the dramatic transformations around him.

Edwin’s mission was to build a sustainable business able to develop, encourage and inspire people throughout an organisation. The focus shifted from only supporting those leaving, to whole-of-organisation change support and building environments where people can thrive.

While the products and services we offer have changed dramatically since our beginnings, our personalised and passionate approach towards guiding people through their career lifecycle has not.

All our services involve listening to each person’s story, giving them a sense of what they can do to move forward, combined with practical strategies they can action themselves.

Trevor-Roberts are proud supporters of the Australian Himalayan Foundation (AHF). AHF is committed to improving the quality of life of those living in remote areas of the Himalayas. AHF works in partnership with these communities to help the most disadvantaged meet their needs through integrated improvements in education, health and the environment.
