30-minute virtual keynoteCareer Conversations: A leadership skill for today’s world of work

Careers are no longer linear, and in today’s changing world of work, leaders play a critical role in helping people find direction and meaning. For people leaders, the quality of career conversations can significantly influence engagement, retention and performance.

This keynote draws on our Career Conversations Masterclass to share practical insights into how careers have changed and how leaders can have more effective, meaningful career conversations. It reframes career development as an ongoing, shared conversation rather than a one-off discussion about roles or promotions.

This keynote will explore:

  • What a career looks like in a contemporary context
  • Why career conversations matter and their impact on engagement and retention
  • The four elements of Meaningful Work and how they guide career conversations
  • How to move beyond “where do you want to be in five years?”

You’ll walk away with:

  • Greater confidence in having career conversations
  • A simple structure to guide meaningful discussions
  • Insight into what drives individual motivation and career decisions
  • Practical ideas to support career development in the short to medium term
